Eligibility

Only local governing authorities (LGAs) or a community/agency/individual with LGA approval are eligible to apply. The Cultural Districts Program has a two part application:

  • Pt 1: Letters of Interest (LOI), open May 1 and close May 23. Guidelines for new applicants can be found here and guidelines for boundary changes can be found here
  • Pt 2: Based on the LOI, select applicants will submit a full application. Full applications open May 31 and close July 1.

LOIs must be submitted for both new applicants and applicants requesting boundary changes in existing districts. Please reach out to fvega@crt.la.gov with any questions.

Partners In Place is a new pilot program designed to integrate arts and culture into public spaces, driving social, economic, and cultural revitalization while centering the community in Louisiana’s Cultural Districts. The program is open exclusively to Louisiana Cultural District liaisons or the Local Governing Authorities responsible for overseeing the district.
